It’s no secret that the day flies by. Many people say that you hardly even remember your meal. But what if there was a way to preserve an aspect of your day forever? Is there really a wedding gift that lasts forever? Sure, photographs are timeless. But think of your grandparents. Have you ever seen or do you truly cherish their wedding photograph? Now- think of painting. Paintings have time and time again become precious heirlooms, treasures frozen in time.

Now maybe it’s not that deep. But I take each and every live wedding painting that I do incredibly seriously! You have spent your time cultivating this event in a way that is going to honor your love. Ali and Brad were an excellent example of a couple that was very intentional in all their details. One vendor that they knew they had to have was a live wedding painter. They had a mutual love of painting along to Bob Ross videos and wanted to incorporate art into their big day.

About the Painting- A wedding gift that lasts forever

They chose a moment inspired by an earlier painting that I completed in the year. A moment where the couple turns to face the crowd shortly after their first kiss, but before they start walking down the aisle. This is such a precious moment because of the absolute joy on their faces! It’s such a sweet and candid blip of time. It is obviously face forward though, so technical precision is required to make sure their likeness is captured. One small slip and a person can be unrecognizable.

As the night continued on, the painting took better and better shape. Their green floral ferns popped beautifully up against the red brick interior of their venue. Ali’s flowing ballgown contrasted Brad’s tuxedo in a wonderful manner. Big beaming smiles were the accessory to end all accessories and they were simply glowing in their love! Ali, Brad – it was simply an honor to meet you. I hope you continue to paint with all the colors of the wind and never step in the same river twice!
