Gemini Wedding Planning creates incredibly luxurious wedding experiences for their couples. From custom installations, extravagant florals and bespoke entertainment, they specialize in that! When their planner, Jennifer, recommended me to paint, I was honored! They were going all out and wanted a luxury wedding painting at the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, Colorado!

Christina booked the largest scale painting that I have available, a 24×30 size canvas. However, as the day approached, she still didn’t know what moment she wanted captured on the canvas! So I arrived a little extra early to scope out our possible options and we ultimately decided on a first kiss moment. They had an incredible floral display on the stage they were getting married on. we both agreed we have to capture the grandeur of it all. I caught a perfect moment and knew that painting was going to turn out wonderfully!

I am so pleased with how this painting developed! By the end of the night I knew that this was a highlight of my portfolio! I had such a wonderful time producing the painting in this atmosphere. It is true that the energy of the event can’t be felt and conveyed within the painting. I try my best to be present and grounded within the event for my couples.

This is not to say that I don’t have many things going on within my personal life that I do often have to push away for the 5-6 hours while creating. But I liken the mental state that I enter to be similar to that of a Broadway actor or professional athlete. You are aware that every one is watching you. You are aware that there are things happening in the world outside of this moment. But by being present you are impacted by the environment and work more clearly!
