First Kiss Live Wedding painting by Olivia Andruss

Gift a Live Wedding Painting

June 30, 2025

A very kind father-in-law wanted to gift something memorable. When he spotted a live painter in his daughter in laws wedding binder, an idea was sparked. The bride and groom were already grown with 2 children. As if often the case when children reach a certain age, the bride and groom were footing the bill. While the couple was aiming to keep costs down, Pat wanted to deliver something grand. He wanted to make good on Jordyn’s dream and gift a live wedding painting.

We collaborated at length in secret. When and how to reveal myself on the big day! However, the big day couldn’t wait. Jordyn had found room in the budget to get the painting she had hoped for. Before she could reach out, the groom informed his father of the happenings. Pat and Dawn were happy to be able to interfere with her plans and present their gift. Me!

Dreaming Up the Perfect Painting

After the jig was up, we connected and chatted. Gabbing about all things wedding paintings and exchanging Pinterest boards. Jordyn really had been dreaming about this! We landed on a clear and simple moment. A first kiss. I love a first kiss painting because it freezes in time when two souls become one. Sealed with a kiss and kept forever, this will be the perfect painting for them! Jordyn wore a princess ballgown with a long train. The satin dress was a perfect choice for her! The groom pulled her in for a romantic smooch and the moment was perfect.

Throughout the evening it was a blast for the couple to watch the painting come to life! What we had spent so much time collaborating and clarifying was achieved. A 16×24 canvas was a great choice for this. The couple was front and center! Detailing the bricks of the venue and the backlight was so much fun. A floral heavy split archway filled up the edges of the painting in a wonderful way. This will be one of my most cherished painting for a long time!
